Why American Paint

We believe American premium paint is the best choice for Armenian homes. It covers better, lasts longer and smells far less than the ordinary paint most of us grew up with. That is why every paint and primer at PaintPro is made in the USA, and why we sell nothing else.

Why American paint

Strict environmental rules

US paint makers must meet federal and state limits on volatile organic compounds (VOC), the solvents that cause much of the smell of fresh paint. Southern California, where Dunn-Edwards is based, has some of the lowest VOC limits for wall paint. Many of our paints, such as SUPREMA®, are low- or ultra-low-VOC, so a freshly painted room is ready to live in sooner.

Full technical information

Each product comes with a technical data sheet (coverage, drying time, VOC content, how to apply) and a Safety Data Sheet, which US law requires. We use them to give you exact advice, and we can share them on request.

Made for sun and heat

Our manufacturers make paint for some of the sunniest and hottest parts of the United States: the Southwest and Florida. That suits Armenian summers, especially on exterior walls in direct sun.

Fewer brands, known well

Working with a small number of American manufacturers lets us know each product in detail, keep it in stock and match colors accurately in the store.

Dunn-Edwards, our main brand

Dunn-Edwards was founded in Los Angeles in 1925 and is still based in Southern California. Its paint is made at the company's LEED Gold–certified plant in Phoenix, Arizona, and Dunn-Edwards describes it as "Made in USA from domestic and imported ingredients", in line with US Federal Trade Commission rules. PaintPro is an authorized dealer, listed in the Dunn-Edwards dealer list. We stock:

Our other paint makers

  • Richard's Paint: a family paint manufacturer in Rockledge, Florida, for more than 60 years.
  • Florida Paints: a family company founded in 2012, making paint for heat, humidity and strong sun at its own plant in Winter Garden, Florida.

Our painting tools come from several brands, and not all of them are made in the USA.
